A sunny day but a cold one especially with the wind in my face so I did a north south figure eight skirting the Ochils.

A cold but sunny day, thankfully the garmin didn’t crash.
Ride 02/04/2016 pt2 & pt3
Well todays ride was quite the fuck up, Garmin crashing on me left, right and centre >:-( I lost the first part of this ride going from Falkirk to Bathgate, and I would have gone a longer ride but with my garmin totally FUBAR! I cut the ride short, and it still crashed on me on the way home, not a happy bunny!
Evans Cycles Ride It Callander 2016
Evans Cycles Ride It Callander 2016
Well its Ride It event time again and this year Evans Cycles have done away with the MTB on Saturday for another Sportive, booo. Since it’s the same route for both Sat and Sun I’m just doing the Sat run. It’s a new route this year over some serious shity roads where I could have done with my mountain bike, to the point I actually got a puncture first time in the 4 years I’ve been doing this event. Anyway some of the route I was familiar with as they were trodden paths I’ve used before when cycling and as per usual Evans save the worst till last, going up Duke Pass, the STEEP! way, which is a 15% hill climb with switch backs. This hill is tough at the best of times but bloody brutal when you’re tired, but I made it and the last of the ride is by Loch Venachar which is an undulating road, so every little undulation just hurts. Knackered by the time I got to the end but happy to have completed it. There’s a new Evens ride in Lanark in June so that will be my next event
Ride 12/03/2016
Well I did ride last week but because I had only just got my new garmin then I didn’t know how to use it and lost my ride data Anyhow this week was a lot more successful, so its a slightly dull day with a bit of wind and some rain but not enough to worry about. Did a loop around Dunferline, nothing too drastic, and back to Falkirk. I’ve got the Evan Cycles Ride It next weekend so looking forward to that.
Ride 27/02/2016
Well after a month of no cycling due to commitments and shite weather I finally got my finger out and went cycling today. It’s a dry, reasonably sunny day with little wind but still only above freezing, so lots of layers on. Managed to knock out 50 miles which was probably overdoing it as I was starting to cramp up in the last 5 miles but all the hills were packed towards the latter part of the ride so that didn’t help. Anyway slowed right down and took a slow flat route home for the last few miles, but pleased with the end result. On a side note RIP my garmin it finally gave up the ghost when I got home, had a hell of a job trying to get the data off it, the USB port is fubar, so time for new one

Well what a difference a week makes, I was freezing my arse off last week but today it was a pleasant mild day. Stuck mostly to the country lanes with some 25% hill climbs, thankfully they were small hills

OMG it’s cold! nearly 2 hours at -3°C does not make a fun ride. Frozen toes and fingers
Ride 21/11/2015
Brrrrrrrrrrrrr it’s cold, the temp barely got above freezing point and the roads were icy to boot. Snow on the higher grounds but i kept to the clear roads, well at least all but one road, where I tried to ride through a foot of water and ended up with cold wet feet thankfully I wasn’t too far from home.
Ride 14/11/2015
Another wet and windy morning, although raining not as bad as last week so I didn’t get quite so wet. A short stint around the area mostly on quiet country roads with a quick visit into the Pineapple which I hadn’t been to before. I keep passing the sign that says Pineapple but never bothered to find out what it was. Well its a pineapple shaped building
Ride 07/11/2015
Well after not riding for 3 weeks I thought I should get my finger out and do some. So its a 35 miles in pissing it down rain on my mountain bike.
Ride 10/10/2015 Forth Loop
