Well it’s a sunny day but OMG it’s cold! full bike gear, 3 layers on time. About 10 of us today which means no cafe stop and I even got a puncture Some quick stops to fix puncture and grab a bite to eat and the ride was over. Nothing too fast today so about avg speed as always.

Ride 20/09/2020
On a dull slightly damp day 6 of us turned up for the Sunday bun run, the winds are light and no rain forecast for the day. It was another no stop day due to COVID restrictions but not a big deal, I did stop at Kincardine to eat an energy bar but that was about it. Not too shabby an avg speed of 16 mph today although I did go a slightly different route home and went up the hill from Inverkeithing to Crossgates which gave me a little bit more mileage that usual.
Ride 19/09/2020
With the new COVID measures starting this week the bun run today was a different affair. With 11 of us riding we would be doing the route without stopping due to the new restrictions. This didn’t bother me as I’m used to it so it was a straight run around the loop today back home about 30 min earlier than usual
Ride 13/09/2020
Another wet and windy day only this time windier than yesterday and again only 4 of us on the bun run. I took the front for the outward leg which meant I was head wind all the way to the cafe stop but because its quite warn today I was soaked with sweat rather than rain by the time I got there. Coffee and cake consumed and I was at the back for the homeward leg but given the conditions I wasn’t any slower than yesterday so I’ll take that
Ride 12/09/2020
It was a wet windy day today and given the crap weather I wasn’t expecting anyone to turn up but in the end 3 other people turned up to make a group of 4 Given the bad weather I was in full cycling gear with my water proof jacket. Thankfully the rain was off and on most of the time so I didn’t get too wet. Given the windy conditions we weren’t cycling very fast today with and avg of 14 mph but we still went over Knockhill so it was a good effort today
Ride 06/09/2020
6 of us on the Sunday bun run and a good weather day it was too, not to windy with some sunshine around. 50 miles clocked up at a good pace with no issues and a slice of carrot cake and cup of coffee to boot
Ride 05/09/2020
Club ride returned this month yay Although numbers are limited due to stupid COVID but it was nice to get back to group rides and see the guys again. So it’s back to the usual bun run rides from now on, so a little less variety in rides but more regular that when I was going it alone Usual route today with a stiff westerly wind but that meant I got a push home. Nice to be able to get back to the cafe stops and get my scrambled egg roll and orange juice pick me up half way through the ride

Well winter is coming as it barely got above 10 degrees centigrade and I was wearing 3 layers and full gloves, although I was still in cycling shorts Decided to do an East bound ride rather than the usual West bound ride and the wind was blowing to the South so I didn’t have to worry about that too much. Along to Glenrothes and up to Milnathort along the A91 which I hand’t been along in a while. at least this section. Up to Yetts o’ Murchart and over Knockhill along to Kingseat to skip out Dunfermline and back home. 47 miles clocked up at an avg speed of 16 mph, all in a mornings ride
Ride 22/08/2020
Another dull wet and windy day so its back to the Saturday club bun run again. I changed this up a little bit by skipping out Dunfermline on the return and heading straight to Kelty and returning home via Hill of Beath.
Ride 16/08/2020
Another dull wet day, so again nothing special today other than the usual Sunday bun run skipping out Knockhill due to my lack of wet gear and me not wanting to be out in the rain for too long.
Ride 15/08/2020
On a dull wet day I decided to just stick to the club bun run, wasn’t really in the mood for anything longer and I didn’t trust the weather.
Ride 08/08/2020 St Andrews
Well it’s a nice sunny day so I decided to ride to St Andrews. 2 hours and 7 mins to ride the 40 miles to St Andrews proves I was hammering this with an avg speed of over 18 mph. Probably not a good idea but I stopped there for some lunch. Now the hard part, the route I had planned home was a far more lumpy affair to the flat down hill route to St Andrews and I was still riding hard so this hurt, the last 5 miles are up hill so I was really struggling by this point as I was almost out of energy, I could barely muster 250 watts so it was a slow affair going up hill. But by the time I got home I had still managed to maintain an avg speed of nearly 17.5 mph which I suspect is probably the fastest 75 mile ride I have on record frigging tired now though.
