Ride 22/11/2025

25 on the bun run today on a foggy and cold day but thankfully there was very little wind around which also meant the fog didn’t really clear up until I was nearly home. I was in the first group today with about 12 of us in the group. The roads were damp and although it did rain last night it was dry today. We had 1 puncture just shy of the cafe stop where I had to sacrifice my inner tube, it wasn’t me who punctured but I was the only one with a working inner tube 😉 This made us a bit late to the cafe stop as all the other riders caught us up and passed us on the way to the cafe. Usual fuel at the cafe stop before we headed back home again. I decided to go to Milnathort with Iain but we had to stop before we would split from the group because Rachael’s Di2 lever battery had gone flat, luckily Marki had a spare and I showed them where to swap it. It was then ontowards Milnathort for Ian and I before we split at Kelty to go our own way home, so 50 miles clocked up at an avg speed of 17 mph. I would say that my fitness was almost back now, I can hold a good pace without knackering myself and by the time I got back home I was still in one piece and feeling ok. So, over the coming weeks I should be fine in the group until my training season kicks back in Jan next year just before the race season kicks off in April again 😀
