Given the weather today I opted to do the long route of 80 miles rather than the medium route I had entered for. It was well worth the effort, a good ride with not too many hills but a bitch of a 14% hill 3 miles from the finish. I didn&#8217;t stop too much as I was against the clock, had to be back to the finish before 17:00. I actually shot our of the starting blocks but slowed slow in the hills and the last 20 miles I was a little on the slow side, but I clocked up the 80 miles in just over 5 hours so I&#8217;m pleased with that.
