On a cold and wet day the club ride was basically a figure 8 over knockhill and around Loch Leven. This was enough for me as I was still tired from yesterdays effort and with the rain on I was getting wet and cold.
A wee bit chilly this morning but a large group of us turned up for the ride. Slightly dull day but no rain and low winds so it was onwards and upwards as usual.
So this mornings club run was a hillier route which reflects the lower avg speed but it was still a hard ride. Riding on roads some of which I’ve never ridden before, it was a sunny day but a cold one at that and we even went over Lomond Hills which was a first for me and a slog to climb. All in all nearly 60 miles clocked up and I was able to keep up with the group most of the time, except when going up the hills.
This mornings bun run there were only 2 of us but that’s fine by me. The first 30 miles were fine and dry but the next 25 where raining so by the time I got back home I was wet It was a longer run today with the usual run down to Kincardine but this time we went around Loch Leven which was good for me as we would pass my home on the way back to Dunfermline rather than finishing the ride in Dunfermline and me having to ride back to crossgates. Fast ride again today but this time I was able to keep up with the other guy, most of the way, I got dropped going up the hills but not by much, all in all a good days ride
This mornings club run and it was actually a nice day with some sunshine no rain and a little wind
Tough run today just due to the speed and distance and probably because I hadn’t cycled in 2 weeks, but at least we had good weather sunny and dry with some wind but nothing too drastic. Managed to keep up with the group up to about 60 miles but after that I had to drop off and cycle my own pace as I was tired and wanted to get home in one piece but I still managed to achieve an avg speed of 17 mph
